Mandatory pension funds reached, as of October 31, 2006, a value of USD 17.903
millions, aprox., 0,3% more than last month. The number of affiliates of these funds
surpassed 6.9 million, that is, 52 thousand more affiliates than the number reported
on September 30.
52,7% are active affiliates and 48.3%, that is 3.641.872, are inactive affiliates. These are those affiliates that have not made contributions for the last six months, at least.
As for October 31 2006, the individual savings regime counts with 21.346 pensioneers; 13.155 of these for survival, 4.508 for disability and 3.683 for old age. 50.9% of the pensioneers, that is 10.880, has chosen the programmed retirement mode; 49.0%, 10.465 pensioneers, for the immediate life pension.
